Default squick in front-end

when ever i go over any bumps i hear a squicking coming from the front of the truck. does it have anything to do with leveling out the truck? anyone else having the same problem? it's not a major issue but it really gets to you when driving on a bumpy road or off road.

it could be anything up there in the front end. your best bet is to stick your head under there, and have a buddy jump up and down on the front bumber so you can isolate where it is coming from. when ball joints are going bad they will make a knocking noise more than a squeak.

that's why i think it's the springs, has something to do with changing the position where they sit.

That's true. If you take out the springs on the trucks, if you look at the bottom, where the spring sits in the holder, there's an indention where the spring is supossed to sit properly. You have to make sure you have that seated properly. Where the spring ends, you see a coresponding indention in the metal seat on the suspension. I know I drive a 2wd, but I had the same squeeking, until I pulled it back apart and I was only off about a half inch. I lined it back up and no problems. Also, make sure the rubber on the top of the spring is properly seated and it didn't curl when you tried to put it back together. Hope it helps.
