So if I got an OEM switch rubbecfrog and replaced my switch and just plugged my lights into the existing wires they may work like some models do?
And come to think of it, I have to check if I have that under the Hood light. Man that would be some bull****. Your saying you have the wiring there but no light ?

Ran seperately is why they work. if you install a factory OEM switch, you will need to use the OEM wiring harness and then the ecu would have control over sending power to the lights. Being you have a 2008...It's highly unlikely using an OEM switch will just work like others have had luck with. i say that because they have prior years and I'm sure Chrysler had their act together for the '08's to make extra money since they were in recession. 95% OEM switch will need the ecu to be activated for the lights to work and 5% they will just work. Just my random generated numbers...lol
