Default My New Torque Converter

Should be here Tuesday!!! So freaking excited! I just talked with Andre over at Edge. He said it is shipping out Monday, and they are like 2 hours away from me, so it should get here Tuesday. Talking with him some more about it, he said he set it up with towing in mind, and that even though the stall isnt too much higher than stock, it is WAY more efficient, and will make a big difference in power. Also, when i asked him about any additional cooling needed, he told me it will run cooler than stock! I was all set to pull the trigger on a PML deep tranny pan, but now im not entirely sure if i want to.

Unfortunately though, i will be working everyday until New Years (yup, right through x-mas. then i get a whopping 3 day weekend) then, the place i use with a lift will be closed all throughout my 3 day weekend for the holidays! what gives?

Then, to top this all off, i wont be getting my 21 days off in January. Thats when i was planning to install my cam. so that will be postponed until February or march.

So, by the time i get my tq verter installed, my gears will be properly broken in. I guess thats a good thing.

Well at least you make a good point about the gears being broken in. Can't wait to see an acceleration vid with the cam, converter, shift kit and gears all of which are mods I have or plan on doing.

You're going to be having some serious fun after everything gets in. I seriously love my converter alot more than the gears and i didn't think that would be possible.

im almost considering trying to do it without the lift. but i just need to learn to be patient. probably be too much of a pain to do with floor jacks.

well all you have to do is drop it low enough to get the old TC off and the new TC on...you dont have to take it out and put it on a table er nothing....i used 2 ratchet straps on my toyota to change the clutch....i didint have a tranny jack and mine didint work out well comin down but i used 2 ratchet straps to get it back up, used 2 i think 15ft straps? around both sides of the frame then under the tranny, then just ratchet until high enough and you can use a jack to lift off the straps n slide forward, and the straps r there as a safety net
