I'll take a borla setup over magnaflow any day of the week. They just sound better but for the price they better sound better as the borla setups are quite expensive.

Depends on what sound you want out of your Magnaflow. The smaller the case the louder the exhaust will be.

I can't compare mine to a flow 50 b/c I've never had one, but the 14" magnaflow was too loud for me. I would try an 18" 5x8 oval magnaflow.

18" 5x8 oval was good to me. i took it off after a year because my gf was tired of the slight highway drone. I had also taken the resonator off because I went to a dual exhaust setup.

if you are just replacing the muffler, go with a 3" SI/SO offset 18" 5x8 oval, and leave the stock resonator on the exhaust on. if you want quiet get the 24"

+1 on AeroTurbine!! if you want loud, without annoying drone, this is the way to go.

So do you think this is the correct one:

Pt# 12256
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8064

Inlet/Outlet Size: 2.5in./2.5in.
Body Shape: 5in.x8in. Oval
Core Size: 2.5in.
Body Length: 18in.

Note: I was told that my Inlet / outlet size is 2.5" and not 3".

Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure the inlet/outlet sizes are 3", mine was and it's a v6. Go out and measure it yourself to make sure.

The rep @ the local muffler shop said in his books was 2.5", but I & utubed the Pt# 12256 and there were some that had it on their 4.7L and sounded pretty nice. I do also love the sound of the Flowmaster 44, but it sounded a little to aggressive (which is not bad, but all means my truck is not really all that fast to show for it, LOL).
