Anyways, the 14" is loud, but sounds great. Can get little annoying while crusing on the highway @ around 70 just barely touching the pedal. It does have some cabin noise, but I am enjoying it and love when the windows are down. As for annoying @ higher speeds (cruising) I just pump up my tunes

Thanks all.

glad you like it. that highway drone is why I got rid of mine. the longer mufflers will make that better. did you leave the stock resonator on?

Yeah, I don't know what the hell it is with muffler shops and Flowmasters? I stopped down to the local shop I had cut my cats back in for me when I did my headers 'bout three years to buy a couple of stainless hangers. One of the cheazy a$$ metal strapping type hangers behind my tip broke and the other was about gone.

So whilst there, I notice that he's got about 2/3 inventory of no-name mufflers and about 1/3 Flowmasters. Nothing else! So I inquired and the dude who runs the place said all the no-name were OEMs for various cars/trucks and the FMs were for people wanting a "performance" muffler.
I walked in the office and pulled up some flow data off the internet and the dude was shocked to see just how poorly Flowmasters performed. Said he never knew it, but they stocked the FM's because "everybody" who came in wanted one.

Kinda shows you that even a shop who does very good work may not have a clue about the specs of what they sell...

I agree with HammerZ71 Flowmasters are junk! All you have to do is look inside one and see all those damns / deflectors etc! All that junk absolutely kills flow! I don't know how they get away with saying that their mufflers flow really well.

Where do you have the tailpipe routed? I know when I had mine done to the stock location it droned like a b**h until I cut off the tailpipe so it dumped right past the rear axle.

The only thing fast about Flowmaster is how fast that they rot away
They only offer a 10yr warranty on their new stainless stuff. How cheezy. Magnaflow is lifetime warrantied!!
I had a satin finish stainless Magnaflow on my 01 F150 when I had it and I had no problems with it. I put it on after the Rustmaster fell apart in under 5 years. It made more power with the Magnaflow as well.

Yes sir.

==================

HammerZ71 - All the guys @ this shop had flowmasters. The sales rep really seem like he didn't care to sell the magnaflows. I probably think that theirs not much mark up on them and trying to keep market fair on magnaflow vs flowmaster?

=====================

All I know is my tail pipe stayed the same. All they did was add little more pipe in front of the muffler, due to the fact that the OEM muffler was longer.

=================

All I know was it seemed like a cool deal I got with them.

Basically it cost me 180.00 installed (adding pipe also).
And if I didn't like it, they would put my OEM one back on free of charge, but cannot refund back on the Magnaflow if I was not happy with it and wanted something else.
But the only problem I ran into @ the end of this whole deal was that they never gave me back my OEM muffler. LOL!!!

As of 2nd day of ownership. I love it!! Not bad really, but does get loud just cruising speed (example 70mph) and has the drone or little bit of cabin noise. Thankfully my subwoofers control that issue

I'll take some pictures tomorrow
Thanks all

Well if the drone starts to get to you just dump it past the rear axle and it should help a ton.
