Default Truck VS Sign

The title should give you a pretty good idea of what happened. My girlfriend was coming home from work last Friday night (Dec 11) in my '04 1500 RCSB. She was coming up a decent hill on the highway doing about 80Km/h behind a slow moving vehicle (speed limit was 100). She managed to find a section of ice on the road and lost control. She veered into oncoming traffic before she over-corrected and put it into the ditch.

She took out a sign that was held up by two 6x6 posts with the drivers side of my truck. The bodyshop estimates approximately $6900 to fix the damage. My old lady and the other girl in the truck are fine, thankfully. Here are some pictures of the truck and of the scene of the accident:

Ouch! Glad everyone was ok, trucks can be fixed. Time for a ranchhand or buckstop bumper?

Damn patches of ice always seem to jump in the way don't they? Glad everyone is ok. As for the truck nothing a little duct tape can't fix

No no no, just layer up the duct tape and slap some paint on there. I'd say no more then $20 if your lucky. Then cash the rest of the insurance money on some poon

I definitely agree on the mods idea. New headlights are going in for sure, but the bumper is staying stock. I've also asked the shop to leave all the badges off. He told me he would take the rest of them off at no extra charge . Now I've gotta pony up the cash to get matching tail-lights and a third brake light.
