Snowy roads what are you guys doing.
What tires are you guys using for in the snow. After saturdays storm I needed to get 4 sand bags for in the bed because 4wd wasnt good enough There is still the stock goodyears on the truck(14,000 miles). Are you guys having the same problems or is it just the tires I have?
Hey, I have the same ram with the stock suck years on them. I feel your pain. I too have to use sand bags in the back in last weeks storm. Get new tires. They suck.I just ordered some new cooper zeon ltz that fit the stocks 20s wheels for 590 shipped out the door from
http://www.treadepot.com. Deff a great buy. I wasnt going to get new tires but even in wet pavment, I still spin. I just brought them tonight and everyone is saying great things about them tires. For good tires just get them and you will be all set. They are really cheap too.

They are the wrangler hp's. Ive been looking up tires and I wanted to get the bfg all terrains cause not only do I like them on my dakota but they have good reviews but my dad wont spend 1,200 for 4 tires. So if he can get them for them for under 600 he will prob get those.
4 sandbags is no where near enough weight. my pops' hemi 4x4 is loaded with construction trash, and my rwd is filled with sandbags, blocks, and other random construction scraps. his stock good years did fine in the 2 feet we got, where as my truck didnt leave our front yard until the roads got plowed. i've got nitto terra grapplers, which have been the best investment ive made yet, i highly recommend em
no affense guys, but trucks do require some weight in the beds to grip in sh!tty conditions, not even new tires will plant a truck in rain, let alone snow with an empty bed

BFG's....nice tire but way overpriced IMO.. Lots of other comparable tires for like half the price.
also....4 bags near the tailgate is like having 8 bags at the front of the bed near the rear glass. I've got 6 bags directly over the axle. Plenty of weight..makes a big diff. Anymore weight and the handling starts to really suffer

I'm using Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 275/65/20 tires and they're absolutley awesome in the snow. I usually drive with 2wd on even. I can throw 4wd on and drive 65 mph with no issues through anything.
