I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 10,000 miles 4.7, when i take sharp right hand turns somtimes the truck dies, then i crank it over again and it starts right up, i brought it to dodge and they said it had no codes. Any ideas what the problem is?

There is another post about this in here somewhere...seems to be somewhat common.

I know on vehicles with power steering, when the wheel is turned full lock in one direction or another, the power steering pump has the highest load on it, and the engine is drug down in rpm's. I'm wondering if this isn't the case with the 4.7, being a smaller motor and no doubt using the same power steering pump as the larger engines. Perhaps the idle speed controller motor(isc) isn't responding fast enough to pick up the load increase and the engine stalls. Try turning to the point just short of the lock position and see if the engine stalls again. There may be a computer tweak that can be don by the dealer for this. I'm not sure, but might be worth a try.

Hope this helps some

my 03 4.7l did it a few times while driving on the highway. Dodge could never figure it out. Traded it before the problem was resolved. It was very intermittent. I started a log after second occurence. First time was in rain. All other times in good weather. First time when turning right. All others when moving forward once at about 50 mph real scary ..... stuff ..... man.
I have also read that the Hemis are having a stalling issue also. Mine did so once so far. No codes found.

Can any of you relate this problem to a low fuel level. Maybe it's a pick-up problem.

I dont think that in any of the 03 events the few was low but I cant be sure. I can be absolutely sure that the 05 Hemi had at least 1/2 tank of fuel. I never let it drop below that. Mainly because its too darn expensive to fill that 34 gallon beast.

I also have a speratic stalling problem. Have 05' 1500 ram with 4.7. I have noticed it stalls alot when making right hand turns. Any good fixes to this. Dealer has no idea WTF is wrong !!!(if it dosen't pop a code they are clueless)
