Default Lighting

So with my Christmas money I'm thinking about buying a pair of KC SlimLite's to mount on my front bumper, in front of my grill; and also some Recon Smoked LED Taillights and third brake light. If anybody could post some pictures of the recon smoked led lights or any hellas or kc lights up in the front of their truck that would be awesome. Just want to get some perspective on how it will look. Also, if anybody has a light bar with lights on it I would love to see pictures of that too. And does anybody know if I could fit in an HID kit into the KC SlimLites? Thanks in advance.

are you sure about mounting them in front of the bumber? you can very easily mount them behind the grill. thats what most guys on here do. and i know hids will fit into hella 500s, just find out what size bulb the kc's use.

Yeah I've seen a lot of people mount them behind the grille but I still will need to play around with it, because I've seen a few trucks with them mounted on the outside and it looked good.

A lot of guys, myself included, use the Hella 500s. They are good lights and you can usually get a complete kit for less than $50. They are pretty slim as well. The use an H3 bulb and you can get HIDs for them.

Yeah, I see a lot of guys on here using Hella's, but I like the KC lights better for a few reasons. They have black light housings (I don't like chrome at all) and they have the stonegaurds that look really good over the lights in my opinion. Plus I just found out that the SlimLites use an H3 bulb as well so I could get HID's for them.

All of the Hella's I have looked at had chrome housing, and the stone gaurds I'm talking about are these:

KC, hella... get which ever one tickles your fancy. You can get either light in black or chrome and they both use h3 bulbs.

As far as mounting them on the bumper... caca doodoo. Looks redneck ghetto fabulous that way. Either mount them on a light bar, or mount them behind the grill.
