Question Collision then MPG drop. Any ideas?

Had a front end collision. Only effecting the left side. Not enough to deploy airbags. Picked up the truck from the body shop and after driving noticed the MPG seemed low. Sure enough after calculating it (by math, not by overhead) dropped from an average of 14+ mpg to 11.76mpg. Now there are a number of factors that could be the culprit. Such as if the truck was running when the body shop were working on it, and I added Cooper Zeon LTZs (stock size)....

I have yet to put on any miles since my last fill up, so I'm not 100% sure if the low mpg will be the same.

Is there anything that could've been damaged in a front end collision to have this effect? Could the body shop have done something?

*The horn sounds slightly different. This could be all in my head, but what should I check to see of proper horn operation?

THANK YOU

Winter...Trucks use more flue, no matter what you drive, your not going to get great mpg as per spring and summer.

Air fliter, autobody shops are filled with dust, tires may be underinflated, check all the basic boaring stuff.

as for the horn, as long as it works, its all you need.

I can really notice it when I hit the power door lock when leaving the truck. You're right the horn at least works, however I am concerned that something else is wrong that is causing the horn to sound weak.. Maybe the battery is going... ETC?

Any ideas on the horn? I mean what could it possibly be?

did they maybe have to replace it after the wreck? Saved a buck by getting one at Kaybee Toys or sumthin?

If it's the same horn, then meter it out, hell the leads are right there on the thing.

If the body shop disconected the battery, the coumputer has to relearn your driving habbits, just a thought...

I would bet the cold weather has more to do with it. May want to have the alignment checked.

I just read your post all the way, the tires, if going from stock Goodyears to the LTZs could have cost you a little. I fear changing from Goodyear just for that reason, then again, I fear driving on the Goodyears in the weather.....
