i bought a 3815 new from here for $239 w/shipping.
they're up some from then, but are still listed at 269-289.

if you buy one used, ask the seller point blank - did you personally uninstall the tune from your truck and return it to stock?
if they don't know what you're talking about, then don't buy it.
some people think they can resell the programmer, and don't understand the VIN lock process.
other people buy them at yard sales and have no idea how they work. all of those are VIN locked and useless.

A guy I work with got a 3815 on CL that was vin locked on CL for $100. I believe he downloaded the Superchips Easy Update software to his computer, plugged in his 3815, and through the software paid Superchips $100 to unlock the vin. So he got a 3815 for $200.
Nobody should be claiming that any superchips product that you get from CL or at garage sales are worthless (vin locked) because you can pay SC $100 to get it unlocked.
