Respecting other peoples property
O.K., I'm the type of person who takes care of his truck. I don't like people breathing on my truck, let alone touching it. I'll park in the far parking lot to avoid other cars. I've even paid to get two door dings taken out of my door.
Anyway, I took the truck to Winterpark, here in Colorado, for a bit of snowboarding today. It was a blast. As usual, I parked far away to keep my truck away from other cars. At the end of the day, the wife and I, her friend, and I headed back to the truck and guess what we saw. The family next to us had their ski's and poles literally resting on my truck! Seriously, who does this.
The older guy, who I think was the father, had his ski's propped up against my tailgate and his poles were resting against my lights. You should have seen the look on my face when I saw this. They had a nice shiny black SUV. Do they rest their skis on their own car? Nope... they chose to use my truck instead.
When I got to my truck, the guy had the "deer caught in the headlight" look. He came to my truck, grabbed his skis and pole and said, "just in time", whatever that meant. All I said in response was, "are you ****ing serious?"
As I drove home, I started to get a little more pissed at myself for not being more rude to the guy. If I could do it over again, I would have kicked his skis right off my truck or maybe thrown them into the ditch or something. What would you guys have done in this situation. I don't know about you, but the more I think about it, the more it pisses me off.
Seriously people... respect other peoples ****ing property.

That's exactly what my wifes friend said. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have. That was just ****ed up.
My God! I would have thrown their ski's into the next parking lot!!!!! Mind you I do have anger management issues!

I definately know where ya coming from partner. I have a nice crease in my rear drivers side door from the Lowe's parking lot. Not the same scenario as yours, but I understand.
As far as your situation goes, I highly doubt we would've parted ways without at least some very heavy verbal blows thrown. Although I have matured quite a bit over the years, I still have "that line" to be crossed.........that mighta been it, lol.
That said, good job holding your cool. I always hate the woulda/coulda/shoulda's after something like that, but its usually best to shrug certain things off
