What year is your truck?? My 08 lost the right front hub bearing at 19K miles. Mine is 2wd, but uses 4x4 parts. Even my rotors are splined for axles.

Mine is a 02 with 84k on it. Mostly highway miles. Kinda quick for a hub I thought.

I have a similar problem. Mine doesn't whine, it "clunks" when turning, going over bumps, etc. I'm wondering if it's the ball joint. I heard they are known for making a noise under the front end, particularly under the floorboard area. I'll let you know if I find out for sure. Good Luck!

I believe I found out what was doing the popping and clunking under my PW. The lower control arm bushing on the left side is shot. It lets the control arm move around when going over slightly uneven terrain. Dodge does not have replacement bushings, nor do any of the other off road shops in my area. A new control arm from dodge comes with new bushing and will cost you about $180. I know another guy that had the same problem, he put a 5 in skyjacker lift on and it took care of it ;-) Good luck!!

Yeah thats the problem with control arms. Happens on jeeps all the time. Must be nice to have a solid front axle.
