Default Side view mirrors

So here is what happened to me. I was driving home, and apparently too close to the side of the road.

Out of no where, I hear this loud bang and watch my sideview mirror fly. My daughter was in the back seat freaking out.

Since, I was just going to houses up I parked and walked to see the damage I had done.

I hit a 2006 ish Dodge Ram 2500 with tow mirrors.

I asked for the owner of the truck and notice a huge scratch on the side of truck. I was upset with myself. I tell the owner I have insurance and if she wanted me to call the Police.

Out of no where, the owner says to me that scratch was already there.

All I did was clip the tow mirror.

Now, I have no side mirror. Luckily my father-in-law has a glass company, and now I'll just be waiting for the glass to come in.

Well That sucks. I actually did a similar thing last winter. I was drivin to work, not payin attention, and hit the mirror of a EMT rig that was in the turn lane. My mirror itself was not broken, but the swivel for it was. I turned around, which took a couple minutes in morning traffic, but couldnt find them, I hope their mirrors were fine. So I know how you feel man!!

Waiting for glass?!?! Heck no man! make a repair and upgrade! Sounds like you need to order some new to mirrors... tow mirrors that is! glad no other damage occured, mirrors are easy and simple to replace. Good thing the owner of the other dodge was honest about the scratch.

This is true, the sport mirrors are already pretty small. lol.

Im surprised my wife hasnt knocked out a mirror, knock on wood. shes notorious for not really knowing how close she is to another object, especially one that is not moving.

I had some fresh new eyeglasses i was trying out when i owned My silverado. they were bugging my eyes out like crazy. They added a stigmatism fix or whatever you call it in the lens. It was casuing some double vision.
Anyways, this F-550 tow truck was parked way out past the curb and the street it was parked on is a main drag and it's very very tight.(hotdog place is always busy)
I clipped his mirror. it snapped my pass assembly to the fold position so quick the glass shot out and scored an impression in my door glass..permanently. i stopped right away and the guy was a total dick. it wasn't even his truck. it was a work towtruck for crying out loud. Cop wouldn't even give the guy a ticket for parking more than 1foot away from the curb AND his mirrors were fully extended. Cop didn't give him a ticket because that company tows all the cars for the plice station and if the guy got a ticket, he would have prob had to pay for half the damages even though i was ultimately the one who hit him.
Anyways, that mirror was the turn signal heated style and cost me $300 out of pocket for his and $38 for my replacement part. $338 total. Cost me more than my F'in glasses did. that was the last time i wore them.
other than that...i have never hit anything else...ever..

I know eh, no offense to any ladies on this board but they dont seem to have much skill with judging where the truck is.. I let one ex drive my truck up to the mountains for a camping trip, Ive never been so scared in my life, no more women drive my truck..

You just need to find a girl that can drive a truck, i know a couple. find one that has a dad with a big truck, chances are she learned to drive in it.

If you find a girl that can swing a full size in a parking spot in one go, that isnt rockin a butch cut and flannel, shes a keeper.

dont get me wrong, my wife is a pretty decent driver, better than most women, but she hasnt jacked enough up yet to know how to be cautious. She still likes to follow closely, and doesnt really pay close attention when I feel its necessary... sometimes.
