05 Dodge Ram 1500 Cruise control won't go over 80kms/hr
My cruise control can be set below 80km/hr but as soon as you accelerate above that, it shuts off. Is there a way to fix this so I can use cruise on the highway. It does it in all conditions of weather not just slippery (I know you're not supposed to use it in slippery conditions). It does it all the time and stops working exactly at 80 even if I use the accelerate button on the steering wheel.
Can it actually be set with a scan tool or is it a wheel sensor or what? Do they use a Dealer Scan Tool to set it?

It would be slower in MPH wouldnt it?
Is it a HEMI or 4.7? I was thinking, maybe at 80 MPH with a 4.7 and 3.55's, there could be too much load, and the CC releases. I know my truck doesnt like to hold 80, she will, but she doesnt like it.

80 kmh = 48 mph. Something's definitely off, there. I've set my cruise as high as 95 mph (152 kmh).

Thank you for moving this for me
and Thank you for converting, I figured you truck guys would at least have a rough idea, if I know lol. I don't think the speed actually matters, it's the fact that my cruise control won't work properly. Usually cruise will work at anything over 20km/hr (12 mph). It's the 5.7 hemi 1500 with no load so that isn't the problem.

you may very well have a vacum leak somewhere near the manifold causing an abrupt disturbance in the force shutting off the cc. check all the hoses for dry rot or cracking near the ports, replace an see if the problem is still there
