check engine light

whereabouts in the uk are you? Got a code reader sitting in console as my 03 pops the light up regular if you start it too quick. ignition key 3 times not too quick all the way on to dash lights, on third time comes up in mileage display

hi lxman1, If I start mine before the dash check lights go out it pops up an evap code, think the pipes on the boxes underneath have split pipes somewhere but works ok if you wait when starting up for a couple of seconds.

Hi Large,
I suffer with the same problem, maybe it is something to do with the UK air (LOL). I am in Woking in Surrey, and also have an 03

Mac tools ET50 code scanner, saves having to disconnect battery to erase each time, mine was about £50. US sites have em for $69.99

UK ex pat in the US, if you live near Croydon go and speak to the grumpy ginger git at American Autoparts in Croydon Surrey. I'm sure he or his brother can get the codes for you.
