filter change
yup mobil 1 hear . i did a test one time back a few years had 3 buddies one was using a fram one was using a mopar and i was using a mobil 1. now we all changed our oil and filter at the same time give or take a day we ran them 3k miles. after that i collected all the filters and let them drain overnight . next day took a hacksaw to them .....long stort short im still using mobil 1 filters. and with what i showed them , they are now also using mobil 1 filters
Are the filings you guys are finding in the filter from your engine the same size as the filings coming from the hack saw? The filings I found in my old truck's filters were always super fine like powder, not like the filings coming from the saw.
Fram's are just not worth the money when you can get a purolator for about the same price and mopar filters are usually either made by champion labs which makes mobil 1 and k&n or purolator. Purolator also makes motorcraft/ford filters but the bypass valve is a different design (thread end instead of dome end) on motorcraft vs. most other purolators. I think the pureone is the best for value and performance.
these were findings inside and inbeded in the filter i know the difference between shavings and non . besides a lite blow from the air compressior while sawing gets rid of 90% of the crap while sawing . sorry for the miss spelings been drinkin
