Question Factory Tint ?'s

What is the factory tint on the back windows? 20%..35%?
If I do a tint darker than factory, do I just tint over it? Lighter shade in back to match front? Or is it removable then the new tint? I know the tint in my Grand Cherokee was in the window, so figuring the same here.

Pretty sure it is about 20% on the back. That is what I put on my front windows and they match the back.

I can see thru them pretty easy, was thinking they were 35%. I think the Jeep is 20% though, so that makes sense. Need a touch darker to keep the heat out seeing as how I live in the SW corner of Hell.

So could I do a lighter tint over it to match a darker front? Could always call a tint shop and find out too huh.

Factory back is 18%. Once you put 20% on the front, the back will darken right up. They don't look that dark because the front windows aren't tinted and they let alot of light in. I'd throw 20% up front and then see how you like the back. At most 35% on the back will be very dark. i like to see where I'm backing up so i didn't want to darken the rear anymore.
your local tint shop hshould have tint that matches the back very very close without tinting the rear any darker.. Mine did. Looks pretty good as far as color match.

i put 15% on the front to match the rest, and it is to dark, i would go with 35% if i did it again, 50% looks like there is no tint, i didnt have any issues seeing at night, just got dirty looks from cops
