Default Question about ETC light on in my cluster in 04 hemi

I have a 2004 ram 5.7 and this started today and it did get cold out today but anyways, i was out and went in a parking lot to cut acrpss and gave it a little gas to fish tail a little, and then the light came on and i lost some power. then we parked and went into the store i came out and the light was out and everything normal. Then tonight we were taking a friend home and was going up a hill that was a bit slippery so i kicked it down a gear and it set the light off, so i dropped them off and pulled over and shut it off and restarted it and the light was out and everything back to normal. So i was playing around on the way home reving it and such seeing what set it off and i went around a corner and punched it to see if it came on and sure enough it came on and the truck kinda backfired and reved down. so i drive home and parked it and here i stand asking you guys if anyone would possibly know an answer to my question?

Also note the light was flashing not solid.

Please help me out, thanks!

I would scan for a code. Could be a TPS issue.

no it happens even when i am not spinning the tires just giving it lots of gas it almost kills itself and idles rough and can hardily move with foot to the floor. i have the awd model as well if that helps ya and the light flashes doesnt stay solid i did some reading and lots of people seem to have this and they all said they just cleaned everything up and it fixed it so might try that but if anyone knows of this issues please let me know thanks!

Did you scan for a code?? This is always the first step.
