?? for a leveling
its my stepdads B-day next month and after seeing the leveling kit on my truck he wants one he drives an 07 ram 1500 and im thinking of buying him a 1.5 inch leveling kit but with the 1.5 well you need new shocks also or well the stock ones be ok?
get him a 2 inch leveling kit, and with the 07's it will not need new shocks, the 1.5 doesnt quite level it out if that is truly the goal, if he does want a slight rake then 1.5 will be perfect. Or if he wants a real aggressive look get a 2.5 inch leveling kit with 1 inch blocks in the rear and it levels it out with just a touch of rake and also gives the truck that nice slightly lifted look.
Keep in mind the taller the level kit, the more prone it is to wobble issues. I'd hate to see you spend money on a gift for him and have him have a problem. Do a search, a LOT of guys have had issues with the coil over fronts with a level.
Personally, I'd get him the 1.5". Would give him room for a bigger tire and almost a level stance with just a slight rake. Remember, he's gonna need an alignment after the install as well...
