Default Dodge Ram Stalling

Hope someone can help. I'm new to the forum with a new problem. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. It is not a Hemi. I've had absolutely no prblems with my vehicle. Three weeks ago I had the 60,000 service from my local mechanic that has always taken care of my cars very well. I had no complaints except for the truck almost stalling when I came to a stop. Beside doing what was recommended by Dodge he worked on the throttle body telling me that it can get dirty. Not immediately afterwards, but a few days later, my truck began to stall completely. I don't believe anything was done incorrectly at the time of the service but I do think that there might be another issue that has continued to worsen since the work was done.
Do any of you folks have any ideas of what might be going on?
I appreciate any information.
Thanks, JJKJR

If it matters, today when I would come to a stop I put my truck into neutral and it didn't stall. When I left it in drive it stalled.

Hey xxxcowxboyxxx, Thanks for the idea. I just talked with my mechanic and he believes that the idle control could be a possibility because when I put my truck into neutral it doesn't stall. He also said that there could be something else affecting the idle control which he didn't elaborate on. I'll be bringing it in on Monday and find out what's going on.

BTW, the link in your post didn't work. If you want to send it again, I would appreciate it.

my 05 did the exact same thing when i would put it in neutral it wouldnt die!! I had just had the tranny on it serviced so i took it to the dealership, well 90 bucks later they told me the place i had the tranny serviced at was 4 quarts low on tranny fluid. I went back to the service shop and they paid the 90 dollar bill and refunded the 100 in cost for the service for my inconvience???

My truck would stall like once every 1-2 months when I would come to a stop. then it started getting worse, then one day it stalled while driving down the street. Turns out it was the Campshaft Position senser. Lucky it was only a $60.00 part and my locol Dodge dealer put in for me.
