They won't fit and you'll turn your truck into a piece of ****. 2500 springs are way to stiff for a 1500.

Ok let me answer a few questions I only consisdered 2500 sprigs because I found some forsale. My 1500 springs are fine even tho I notices they start at the shackle curve down lower then raise othe axle lower again then curve back up. His is only sutble but it's noticable to me. I have 2 inch blocks on the truck now and figured instead of buying add aleafs. I should look into these springs for sale. I plan on checkin the dimensions of my springs and comparing them to the springs of a 2500 before I buy them. Like width and length hole to hole. Thanks for all the input everyone

Don't waste your time. They are a totally different spring and will not fit.

I really liked the helper springs i put on my previous 92 GMC extd cab. They reduced squat and made the truck handle better too. The best part is they're a whopping $30 at AutoZone or similar places.

The older models have IFS on the 2wd. so if you take 2wd diesel springs they say it will go on to a 1500 and give a lift. people have done it to and all they add is a leveling kit. now the new trucks, they might have changed it but i would think the same rule applies.

Dont forget anything cane be made to work it all depends on the ease of it

I think 1500 springs are 2.5 inches wide and 2500 springs are 3 inches wide... but I could be wrong. I am almost positive though.

1500 Rams and 2500 Rams do not have the same rear axles, 2500 u bolts will not fit a 1500 axle. 2500 rear springs are widder as well.

best soultion is go air bags, or add extra 1500 rear leafs and get a larger u bolt, I did added extra leafs on a old 77 Ford F100, 8 leafs per side.
