Default 2500 leaf springs on 1500. Anyone??

Anyone ever put 2500 leafsprings on a 1500. They are of similar year I think I'm just gonna measure and put them on if they'll fit. Also does bed size matter for leafs. I have a short. Idk what they came off of. Any advice or input would be great

Wouldn't the 1500 an 2500s have different shackle locations?

i dont know why you are wanting to put 2500 leaf springs on a 1500, but if it is to get more of a payload, or towing capacity its not going to help you. there is a lot more than just stiffer springs that make a 2500 different than a 1500

I would like stiffer springs in my truck. I have a single cab with out the tow package. I would think a set of 4dr tow package springs would be stiffer. That true?

I read something about this like a month ago somewhere, cant remember where though. But ya supposedly they will bolt right in. Keep us informed cause if they do then im gonna do this to. I cant stand the ****ty loose ride these trucks have. Then put some stiffer struts up front and maybe it will be a nice ride..

People will put 2500 springs on for a cheap lift, because the diesel and v10 are heavier that means that the front springs are stiffer which will give you the lift. there is a thread on this subject its for the older gen but hey it may help

My understanding was the leaf springs are more wide and therefore would not fit in the current mounts we have on our trucks. I was told you would need to take those off a 2500 and weld up on yours so they will fit.
