I just installed mine last friday. I have an 05 so itll probably be a little different but still.

It took me two hours to install mine and that even includes packing everything up to go to lowes to buy a sawzall to cut out the old exhaust. I was able to break all the bolts lose but the pipes werent coming apart anytime soon.(southern driven truck, no salty roads) Pretty straight foward, even the driver side aft mount isnt bad.

***TIPS****
Cut out your old exhaust, itll make getting out of the old mounts easier.
Use WD40 when installing the new mounts, slips right in.
Youll probably have a extension pipe coming from your cats to your old muffler. I didnt know if that stayed or goes. But it stays.
Drink beer. But not to much so you can take it for a test drive.

That's what I have on my 08. Took about 1 hr to remove the old and install the kit. I didn't have to use the straight mid pipe because in 08, they eliminated the front resonator.

lxman that sounds great, and thanks to the rest for all the tips. I should be getting it Thursday, and hopefully installing Friday after work. I'll update with pics after that.

thanks again

The MDS will annoy the hell out of ya, at least mine does. You can clearly tell when it kicks in and out. I drive around town with OD off to get rid of the problem.

Another thing to remember is, this thing will sound a lot different after driving for a few weeks. When I first put it on, it was very quite and not very deep but after a while that all changes.

Other helpful tip is to coat your hangers in oil to ease the removal and installation.

Yea thats why I am thinking that I will leave the front muffler in there. I drive 25 miles each way to work and it is pretty much all interstate, so the MDS will be kicking in. My hope is that the front muffler will make the MDS transition less noticeable. I will just have to see if it is loud enough or not

Thanks for the tips as well. I will probably cut the stock exhaust out to make it easier and quicker to remove. Good tips so far

Thanks guys,

When the shop did mine, they sprayed some lube on the stock hangers to get the hooks out and used a large flathead screwdriver to get it down.
