Default What is this hose connected to transfer case?

There is a rubber (vacuum?) hose that attaches to a fitting on the drivers side of the transfer case on my '05 Ram 1500 4X4. It runs over the top of the transfer case and dangles. I have it tied to the transfer case mount for now. The end has some type of plastic plug in it.
Where is this hose suppose to connect to?

sometimes there's a clip up on the top of the trans that the hose gets clipped into...no biggie if it's not, just make sure it's not hangin down below the t-case....i'd just zip-tie it to something, like the wire loom above the t-case
