Nope, monitored in the hot weather towing over 7K. No knock. Only time will tell I guess

I know the SC specifically says NOT to run the perf tune when towing, advances the timing too much.

That's why I did close monitoring. Might be my lower mileage and the fact that most of my commute is highway driving, there is little carbon buildup. I dunno. That and I run pure 93 octane fuel. No ethanol or reformulated crap. May back down to 91 setting next summer just on be on the safe side.

I tow on the SC performance tune and have never seen any kr or lean condition on my aeroforce gauge while towing. Same with diablo.

That doesn't mean I am recommending others try it. I'm just sharing my experience.

As a side note to this-
Just because you are not hearing knock, that doesn't mean there isn't any. The PCM is designed to retard timing to prevent kr. You could very well being losing power due to the PCM pulling timing to prevent kr. And you would never be aware of it unless you are monitoring kr.

I'm not saying that's happening in your case. I just don't want a bunch of noobs to go pulling their 40' yachts on the performance tune in 95* weather.
