Question Cold weather shifting problem???

My '06 will not shift into O/D after it reaches operating temperature. The past few mornings leaving work after about 15 miles I pull over, put the truck in Park, then shift back to drive and it shifts normally into O/D. Anyone have this problem or idea of what the problem may be???

Mine won't go into 5th until the trans fluid temp reaches a certain temp. Then sometimes you have to let off of the throttle slowly to get it to shift. 15 minutes is a little long though.

I travel 30 miles from work to the house and if I don't pull over it will not shift the entire trip during cold weather.

My 08 does the same thing. When the engine warms up it goes in o/d. I thought it was normal but then I've only had my truck for a few weeks.
