truck details are in my signiture.
Mine tops out at 105 or 108. still plenty or rpms left but with such a stiff suspension I don't think I would wana go any faster

I've got a 2004 1500 QC 4X4 with the HEMI (I also have the tow package, so I've got 3.92 gears and also have the 20" wheels), and mine tops out at about 107 at just over 3,000 rpm in top gear.
I'm with boulee with the gearing, but I have the diesel. I think I would hit the rev limiter before the speed limiter came into effect since redline is only 3200rpm
Yes, I've read that our trucks have a speed limiter. That would be consistent for DC, since even the highest performance Mercs do. Ironic given that the Ram (Little Red Express) was once one of the very few production vehicles able to go double the "Double Nickel" speed limit of the era.
I suspect someone has hacked a way around it, though. Anyone know?

I know on the cummins instead of the computer cutting the spark to the engine it just defuels and maintains the speed no matter how much farther the pedal goes the engine wont rev any more.
some aftermarket chips might be able to restrict that function so the engine never defuels
