Default Driving gloves...Who wears them???

Who wears driving gloves?
For aesthetic purposes?
To keep your hands warm?
Or the grip they provide?

I thought of this thread when I seen this woman wearing super bulky winter gloves. I thought to myself...How can she feel the steering wheel and if she had to make a quick decision how would she react to swerving? Could she? I decided to try myslef. So I put on a pair of bulky fleece winter gloves and went around the block. They were terrible. I had no feeling of the wheel or the road. More so the feel of the wheel was competely lost. I haven't had a chance to try actual leather gloves that are form fitting??? I'm not really into gloves, but have been curious to what everyone else thinks or uses?

List what you wear if you do. Please no flaming, take that elsewhere. Just looking to start a fresh thread and give you guys some links for some gloves that I thought would interest everyone as well as a different topic.

i wear gloves when i leave for work in the morning. i can let my truck idle in the drive way for 20 minutes and it wont warm up at all. so they are almost a must. but i just use the ones that i wear when i ride my bike, keep me warm and have good grip and my sense of touch is still there

I wear leather winter gloves (in the winter) until the wheel warms up. I'm not a big fan of 20* steering wheels. Outside of that, I think driving gloves are lame in a truck.

Only use gloves when my hands are nasty from a fire call or whatever.

I've known three guys in my life who I've seen wear driving gloves. One was in his '80s who drove a 1930's vintage convertible, the other two were gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.*

Come to think of it, the octogenarian may have been too.

Building on hammer's statement... it's important to acknowledge the difference between wearing driving gloves, and wearing gloves while driving in cold weather!
