I have an '08 1500 hemi, and I want to get it LOUD AND AGRESSIVE sounding, you know the way a HEMI should sound.Whats the best set up for this not including open headers. I also need it to pass inspection in PA. if that helps. Thanks for any advice. P.S. what exactly is drone when it comes to an exhaust

Get an electric cutout. I've got one, it is loud when it is open and you can close it when you are not in the mood for loud.

Get a Cherry Bomb Extreme 3 inch, single in/single out, and dump it by the rear axle. 50 bucks for the muffler and it will do exactly what you want.

I also was going to say a cutout. They are the best IMO for a controlled sound. You can make it loud or quiet. Im doing two cherry bomb extremes soon though......he he he

I've had mine for 2 years now, but funny thing though, I've never not been in the mood for a loud exhaust. I think I've closed it maybe 3 times since I installed it, and that was just because I forgot how my truck sounded with the muffler.

If you want a "conventional" exhaust, then a Cherry Bomb Muffler, either the extreme or the Vortex.

Going to a cutout will also give you an awsome sound, and will let you switch over to your stock exhaust when you want to.

Either will give you your desired sound. Just up to you which way you want to go...
