I imagine a cutout would be the way to go. A good loud exhaust is okay but you will get tired of it....trust me....

 

Better get a tuner to disable the MDS or you will hate it!!

 

will a cutout not just make ur truck sound hollow.? without a muffler and tail pipes to me the truck would sound hollow. what about a cutout and also installing a muffer and a piece of pipe?

 

It doesn't really make it sound hollow IMO. It just makes it louder and deeper, at least it does on my truck as compared to the FM Super 40 my exhaust runs through when the cutout is closed.

 

If you want it really really loud and mean put on some LT's headers no cats (or cats if you have to have them) and a cut out. It'll be stupidly loud and rattle the cab loose..... Teach and Weed will find that out once they get theirs installed... Start up sounded like a harley starting up inside the truck

 

i got a magnaflow cat back system sounds awesome, but it is $1200

 

dam i aint ever heard of a cutout. how much does it cost and how hard is it to install. i dont get tired of my exhaust but hell that would be neat to have..

It was around $111 shipped to your door. Best exhaust choice of all. I have my flowmaster 40 series and thought it was loud until I got the raceland cutout. Its 4x as loud.

 

glasspacks sound awesome on rams. i had straight pipe that was just stupid loud/ no tune to it, i threw a glasspack on as a temporary fix, sounded great, but too loud for my taste

 

Other than sound does the Cherry Bomb extreme or vortex help with performance?
