I had a thought about changing the chrome bumpers on my Ram to body color. Well basically some D-bag cut me off when I was pulling a trailer and I blew his Honda Accord through the intersection so I need to replace my front bumper anyways even though you can hardly tell its damaged. My idea was to paint the rear chrome bumper, replace the front bumper to the SRT10 bumper and get the side steps and ground effect pieces from a Daytona version truck... also painted to match. Where can I find these Daytona Ram parts for a good price?? I tried Ebay and Craigslist but I know theres gotta be another place on the net. Maybe some key words for searching??

Also... If I am going from my 2006 chrome bumper to the SRT10 bumper, what do I need to mount it as far as different brackets or inner steel pieces? I figured it was just a plastic cover over a steel beam but I am not sure. Any help is appreciated!

 

You could try Dodge but I'm not sure if they'd have it since the Daytona was a limited production run. I think Henson motor sports might have the kit. If you buy it new it's not cheap. Best bet is to check classifieds on numerous forums.

As for the SRT rear bumper, it won't line up unless you have the side moldings from the SRT10.

Thanks for the info! I don't want the rear SRT10 bumper though, I want the front one. I am going to replace it anyways so I thought about getting the SRT10 one instead of another SLT chrome style. I think you are right though I just need to do some heavy searching! I maybe just stick with the chrome bumpers I haven't decided yet.
