Default 4.7 recommended mods

Would any of you would suggest any certain mods for the 4.7 motor besides the obvious cai or exhaust? Anyone recommened the throttle body spacers or superchips tuner for the little v8? i got a 4x4 QC and shes stick but pretty gutless stock. just wondering whats the best bang for my buck. thanks

NO on the throttle body spacers. They are meant for a carburetor motor. I would recommend

1. Ported Throttle Body

1.5. Cheap things like E-Fan, and a new Y pipe. TMR mod is free do it. (use the search function)

2. Headers, only option is shorties for the 4.7

3. I would then do Superships. I am not sure how much difference you would see being a stick and although they do do SOME motor tuning. They focus on the Trany

4. If thats not enough Gears, (The gear choice will depend on what size tire you are going to run most likely a 4.10 or 4.56)

5. Then a Torque convertor

6. Then Ported and polished heads
-While you are doing this you might as well do cams, high lifting springs and all
those goodies

6.5. CAMS

7. Now that you have a cam and new heads you are going to need a custom tune. I would only recommend one tuner for the 4.7 Hemifever

8. For you custom tune you will need a wide band gauge and maybe a couple others to get the info he will need to tune you correctly.

9. If this truck is still not enough for you I would look into a lowering kit to run smaller tires

10. At this point if you still need more the only option is to leave the world of N/A, and at this point you have 3 options
1. NOS-has been run on a 4.7 before that ran good times
2. Turbo charge, KRC is selling a kit with everything you need 2-3k
3. Supercharge, you will be hard pressed to find one. They made one
years ago for the 4.7 but discontinued it. You will see them come up
for sale every now and again.

Any more questions PM me and I can forward you to real 4.7 gurus.

You might as well just copy that somewhere OE, so you can just paste it whenever the question arises, lol. You always throw down a complete list, and I HATE it!!!! Lol, makes me wanna spend a whole lotta money that doesn't exist, dammit!!!!!!

But for sh*ts and giggles, how much spray can our mini-hemi's take? Id think no more than 50-75 shot.....

Ive been looking at tuners again, and Ive noticed that there is a SCT tuner available. I didnt know this was an option. I guess my question is, if I just plan on regearing and tuning, is SCT too much? I know custom tunes are the way to go. Airram is offering an SCT with wide band commander, custom tuned for just under $800. I feel like Im having an epiphany. LOL.
