Ram fluid capacities
Going to do some maintenance on my 2007 dodge ram 4X4 5.7L hemi with no limited slip rear end. I've done some searching but cannot find definite capacities for the rear end, front diff, and transfer case. This is what I've found with the weights.
Front Diff. 3.5 pts of 75w-90--wanting to go to synthetic, is that ok?
Rear 4.9 pts 75w-140- synthetic with no additive in oil
Transfer case 2-3 pts of ATF+4-- is there a synthetic transmission oil I can use?
Just wanting to know if I'm close on these capacities and make sure the oil weights are correct and if I can use synthetic in the front diff. and if they make a synthetic transmission oil.
Also going to change the plugs, looks like champions are the plug of choice for the hemi's. Is the number of the champion plug 507's for the 2007 and what size plug socket is it??
Thanks guys, I did so some searching but I don't want to buy way to much oil and not need it, funds are a bit tight these days.

I looked at amsoil's website. what the hell is the deference between:
5.7L 8-cyl Engine Code [2] EZB and
5.7L 8-cyl Engine Code [D]between
Differential, 9.25 AA Front..........4.7 pints
Differential, 9.25 AA EL Front..........4.3 pints
between
Transfer Case, NV241 GENII..........3.4 pints
Transfer Case, NV243..........3.4 pints
Transfer Case, NV244 GENII..........3.4 pints
Transfer Case, NV246..........4.1 pints
Transfer Case, NV271..........4.1 pints
Transfer Case, NV273..........4.1 pints
This is why I asked.

Well, i got under my pickup and wrote down the numbers off the rear diff, front diff, and transfer case. None of the numbers match up with the amsoil site. need help bad, any advice?
Here is what my build sheet says:
5-Spd Automatic 545RFE Transmission
Elec Shift-on-the-Fly P/Time T/Case
205MM HD Front Axle
3.55 Axle Ratio
Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle
Not much info there.

Well, I got the engine oil changed, front diff, rear diff, and transfer case are now fresh as well. Now it is time for plugs, not looking forward to this one. I've read on here that people put dielectric grease on the plug boot. What is the purpose of this other than making it easier to slip the boot on, and off next time the plugs need changed. I just don't see what else this would do?

All those cpacities are pretty close. going off the top of my head. Do you not have an owners manual to reference off of?
The plugs are done. The old ones were not to bad but were starting to round just a bit. They were not as hard as I thought to change, especially for $380 like the dealership wanted to change them. All preventive maintenance is caught up. The Ram should be running good.
