The lid on the center console of my '05 SLT has a cracked spot right where put my elbow when I drive. I guess sweaty elbow syndrome caused it to dry-rot, Idk??? Replacement center consoles are like $300 bucks. Anyone know where or if I can buy just a new center console lid?
I searched everything... ebay, craigslist, etc.
Maybe I'll just swap lids with my friend when he aint lookin

 

Kinda of a "lock the barn door" comment, but I used to keep a towel on the armrest. Used it to keep the steering wheel cool when parked in the sun.

 

junk/salvage yard would be the place I would start

 

Call the junk yards...Bet you can find a desent one real cheap.

how funny... i was going to take a picture of the crater I left in my center console from my elbow and post it today lolol

Maybe you could get artsy and find some cool panels of leather or something and just 3M spray glue them to the top of your console if you can't find a replacement. I'm sure the leather would never wear out again.

 

I'm looking for the same, I got a nice star going on the center consil where my elbow rests. Been thinking of re-wrapping it with something but haven't figured out what I want to do with it just yet

 

Take the cover off and bring it to a shop that can wrap it in a solid piece of leather. prob could even get the exact same color.
