Thanks guys, I was pretty happy with how it turrned out. The leds didnt seem too bright at first, but once all 8 were in it was pretty bright. LED strip lights would work really well for this, but I didnt feel like spending the cash......

ps the quad is a blast!

Ive got a set of brand new amber LED strips i was going to use but didnt if anyone is interested. They are just sitting in a box with no plans for them. Ive got a few pics in my sig link.

I rewired my bed lights so they come on automatically when the tailgate is opened. I still have a manyal override switch to manually turn the lights on or off regaurdless of the tailgate position:

Thats actually a really cool idea. It would look sweet on my truck with white LED's reflecting off the running boards.

got the relay and the wiring diagram and ordered the leds from ebay I will post a pick when done

cool man, are you going to intergrate a door contact too? I really like having the lights back there especially with the toneau cover, and the ammount of camping I do!
