Man, Ive always heard about bad things happening when running the gas out, but I still have a tendancy to run'er low (I def know what the limit is, lol, I can't believe I haven't run out of gas before) Main thing I hear of is picking up trash and plugging up the filter,as already mentioned, but no real world experience yet :::knocks on wood:::

Any updates yet? Lol, it hasn't even been an hour since the last post, but I'm curious. Good luck partner, I hope its an easy one

Whats this Schrader valve you speak of Thunder? Is it like a purge valve or something? My buddies 4.0l cherokee has something like this on his fuel rail, and has THE EXACT problem you explained in your post. Lol, he's had it die on him at a gas pump, restaraunt, and had to leave it for a week or so each time, going by everyday and trying to start it. (BTW, I don't believe his "purge valve" has anything to do with his, or the op's problem, random conversating I guess, haha)

its like valve on a tire, you have to hook up the pressure tester to it and it threads on , and i did, it pressureizes at 57 psi n runs at about 58 60, buddy of mine works at an auto place says it should be at 57, so no prob with pressure, hopefully its just a clogged bag or filter....wich the filter is also the pressure regulator on these motors, and for some retarded reason you cant just buy a filter....that i can find anyway..so tank going down in about 15 min or so...ohhh and i wasnt talking about the fuel delivery hose, the fuel filler and the vent , the 2" hose n the 1"1/2 they is stuck like chuck thats the only thing holding me back right now..

Right on, good thing its not the pump, hopefully just clogged up bag, man I hate dropping tanks, usually if theres a few guys I just quickly lift the box off instead of screwing with rusty tant straps and hoses and ****, then you can also just sit on the frame and work away..

Just a thought here in FL. When you ran the tank down do you maybe think your motor pulled some water into it? I know when it's hot here and you run your tank down to 1/4 tank or less and you fill it up, it's a bad thing. If you fill it up all the way the gas will pick up the water if any that's accumulated on the top of the tank. You may try an additive that removes the water. Rubbing alcohol will work, I've done it. It mixes with the water, where gas won't and it'll burn. Just don't throw a whole bottle in your tank. Just a thought.

Running low on gas often will definitely cook the pump. Sounds like the filter is clogged with trash or there's water from the bottom of the tank sucked into the fuel line. The former is a problem, the latter is an annoyance. I bought a Gen II Ram at auction some years ago. By the time I'd gone four miles, it was spittin' and buckin' pretty bad. I just knew I'd made a bad deal. Two tanks of gas cleaned it right out. Ran like a champ afterward.

I don't think the pump is cooked, just because your motor will still run. Either the pump will run or it won't, it's electric. I would be more inclined to think you got water in the system.

My guess would be injector issue, or a coincidence and it is an electrial issue
