yes there are misfire codes, but it seems like you have to be driving a certain speed before it throws, might be wrong but that is how mine was when I had a plug fowled. ran bad all the time but only threw the code at certain speed!

This sounds like a case for Angela Lansbury.

my old dodge when the fuel pump went out it would do the same i had to pump the pedal to get it to sputter and run. and it was showing random signs before, i believe what worked as bangin on the gas tank a bit to shake crap up and get the pump working again for a few minutes

I hate to be a bearer of bad news and I hope this is not your problem, but I had a very similar problem almost a couple of years ago. I had taken a friend of mine home and parked in front of his house where we talked for about 10 minutes before he got out and when I cranked back up, I had the same problem you are describing. The truck was still in warranty at the time so I took it to the dealer who kept it for almost 2 weeks. First, they said that the computer was bad and was throwing the wrong codes and after they replaced that, they were able to get the proper codes allowing them to determine that it had a bent pushrod which they repaired. This just goes to show how fast things can happen for seemingly no reason. I've driven the truck many trouble free miles since that time.

yup that would suck.....lmao.....but yeah i finally got a voltmeter, and tested the coils.. supposed to be within .6-.8 ohms resistance, well 2,3,4,7 checked out good, 1,5,6,8 checked out good for about 10 sec then jumped all over the place then back to .7? i guess this would be under faulty? i allready have 4 ordered im going to order 4 more just incase (so there at the store so i can buy em if need be) but i ran the truck with the bad 4 unplugged, ran the same, then ran the good 4 unplugged n ran the same??
