Plug change - is it a DIY job?
Thanks, thats what I thought, I was more concerned about a minor diference in mounting or something stupid like that and it takes an hour to figure out what one goes where.. I was more thinkin this problem would happen after seeing weeds pics from the cam swap with all the coils off..
Definitely a DIY job. Not seeing how it takes 4 hours like some say though. I did it in about 1.5 hours taking time amongst the job to service other things as well and clean my air filter. As long as you have a good assortment of u joints and extensions you will be well equipped. Never EVER forget the anti seize and do not get hulk hogan on the torque. These are aluminum heads and if they go in to tight well then they are not coming out.
Care to share any magical technique, hemiguy, as opposed to any of the posted recommendations? I've got anti-sieze, it's a must have for my bike as well. Looks like the torque spec for the plugs is 13 ft lbs +-2? Sound right?
I'd like to try to do it without removing unbolting stuff from the firewall or chancing tearing gaskets on other things that don't HAVE to be removed. So, what absolutely needs to be removed or moved and what can be gotten around by having the right extensions and/or ujoints?
