Body Lift

Default Body Lift

I was thinking when I had my jeep wrangler I did the body lift with hockey pucks. Just want to know could I do that with the truck also would be a lot cheaper just dont get the leanthing hardwear. what do you guys think?

get the kit... it comes with bumper brackets , hoses , lines bolts ect ... better in the long run

Too many extras to fabricate without the kit. Especially the steering shaft extension.

OT but frog you should do from stock to the current pic. There is a difference but not huge. Sorry.

OP- I would think that the kit would save you a lot of hassle and anger over the hockey pucks.

Are we speaking in literal terms......hockey pucks.....for real? If so, Im not sure if thats ingenuity or flatout afro-engineering (is that too politically incorrect for DF?).

My father had a Furd F250 he lifted with hockey pucks, was the original way this was done, but there was a lot of extra parts (brake hoses, etc.) had to be purchased as well, not to mention a good bit of fabrication.
That was in the late '70s, this is 2010, get the kit, it's only around $350...

also commonly used in the south is the Lowes lift! treated 2x4's


Buy the lift!!

Damn new vehicals! Like I said just had to ask with the jeep all i had to do was drop the radiator everything els was fine. Who has the body lift here. does it make the ride stiffer. and is it a bithc to put in im mechanicly in clined so how long did it take. can't spell LOL

I think all I used out of my kit were the blocks, steering extension, rear bumper and front bumper plates and the spare tire block. But then again that is most of it so you had better buy the kit........LOL

On a side note, go do Performance Accessories site and look at thier instructions and see what all is involved and why you need those pieces.
