Default Beep when opening doors

OK, so I drive home today and I go to open my doors. I hear a faint beep and all the doors unlock as usual. Sometimes I hear a faint beep, sometimes I don't. Am I hearing things or just going crazy? I've heard it a couple times now. My wife seems to think I'm going nuts. Anyone else?

OK. I'm feeling alot better now. I've heard that damn beep and thought I was having a brain aneurism. Unfortunately, I have no idea what that's all about.

its say something about that in the owners manual. something like if the engine is just turned off and the driver is the first person to open a door all the other doors will unlock automaticly. but if the engine is still on or one of the other doors are opened first the wont.
I believe its in the section where it gives you all of those "combinations" involving the ignition to turn different featurs on and off, like that seatbelt beep, head lamp timer, etc.

Referring to the occasional light beep, I don't think that is normal or it would do it every time. Mine does it about 1 out of 10 times. Most of the time when I hear it, it's when the doors are locking, even with the remote.

Sig, Boulee I realize that it is supposed to lock at xxmph and open all the doors when Im the first to open, but what I am referring to is a faint beep when it performs this action of unlocking the doors, but it only beeps intermittantly, not every time. Thank you for your input though as it is always appreciated. But at least there are some other owners that have my same situation and I'm not going CRAZY!

That 'beep' is nothing to worry about.
It is the power door lock actuator making the noise. You can replace 'em one right after the other and they will all do it.
It isn't a failure, just a freaky little noise that the electric motor makes in the door under cirtain circumstances.
