it wont hurt you that bad. a one way 30 minute trip isnt gonna ruin your tires. i went two days before i made it in. i know youre on a budget and i was just trying to give you some other options.
Yea ten bucks aint gonna kill me though. I found some cool shock boots on Fat Bob's, I know I don't need em cuz my stock shocks don't have em but would it hurt to put some on? I think they would look cool and be functional at the same time.
They are functional to keep dirt and debris from screwing up your shaft and internals on the shock. As far as looks, you really wouldn't see them. Maybe if you had your wheels at full lock. Just my opinion.
Was wondering with a 2" lift, when you tow a 9000 lb boat or an enclosed car trailer will it make the back end lower than the front..
It will and that is the purpose of the nosedive look in the first place but there is a reason aftermarket companies make add-a-leafs or helper airbags.
Pat, it will make the rear end sag. You may not have as much a problem as us 1500's since you have a 2500 but you could put the lift on then like Shiloh said, get some helpersprings for the back or even some airbags. If you're hauling that much weight I KNOW the 2500 can do it, but I personally would already have something on the rear of the truck (helper springs or airbags) anyways.
Well, I called Fat Bob's and the service is great. I was told that the procomp 2" spacer works best on the 02-05's 2wd to make it sit level. I was also told that is the most popular 2wd kit they sell. So hopefull either today or tomorrow one of these kits will be headed my way.
