Question Can I get some pics of Side Exhaust? Changing Mine....

Short story long.......I had my exhaust put on a couple of years ago before I put my sway bar in the rear. Anyway, the two are to close and clank together. So, tomorrow I am taking it in to have the muffler shop fix it, but I am looking at running side exhaust instead of behind the tires. Some pics would be great......Thanks! Oh, and is side louder or quiter than rear exit?

If I remember right Mopar78 has a side exit setup you might go check out his picture albums. As for sound I would think being closer to the cab and less pipe it would be louder.

Here's a couple pics:

It is a bit louder, as the exhaust is traveling through less pipe and therefore not cooling or losing as much sound energy before leaving the tips.

id say go with 3" pipe before the rear tire but have them weld 4" pipe on the tip so it looks like one pipe is in the other. I think it looks trick.

Mines louder next to wall, rail and other rides, the sound bounces off of them especially at w.o.t.!!

Thanks,

I'm betting you can hide it. I don't think Pyro crossed the frame as quick as I did but the step/nurf bar would hide it if you did. Pyro's is hidden pretty well and looks good.

You can also dump it over the axle if you want to, thats how mine is and it has no problem clearing the rear swaybar
