Coils on top of spacers info
I recieved this in the mail last night,
3" shackles for the rear and 3" coils for the front.
I also have 2.5" daystar coil spacers...
I dropped the truck off at the shop this morning only to pick it up exactly the same
They informed me that you cant put the 2.5" spacers on top of the 3" coils, that there simply isnt enough room.
Then they tried just the 3" coils with nothing in the rear and they said it sat lower in the front than it did when it came in... that makes no sense, 3>2.5
So for a heads up to guys (maybe just 2wd) that are planning on running coils with spacers. A smaller spacer might have worked but a 2.5" one will not fit.

Yeah, I think you would have to find a 3" longer spindle for the front then you should be able to run the spacer, right? With a stock spindle, you just couldn't fit 5.5 inches of lift in there.
I would agree, there just isn't enough room in there to fit that much. With taller spindles I'm sure it could be done easily and without problems. As for the 3" coil sitting lower that the stock with a 2.5" spacer I think he's pullin your chain unless you got stiffed on the coils you bought.
dude, you wouldnt stack multiple spacers would you? then why would you think you could use a longer coil and a spacer? longer coils do exactly the same thing as a spacer. theres no way in hell you could ever get both to work together. even with lift spindles. (lift spindles arent longer, they just move the wheel lower on the spindle, thus raising the front end)
so you need to ditch one of the two, and settle with just being leveled, or get some spindles, and use those with either the spacer or coil, but not both.

As said before and as I already have, you need 3-4" spindles and then the 3" coil. Works for me just fine.

And this thread is for any newb out there haha before you go and ask a leveling question read Ol Dirty John's post! and dont make the same mistake I did
and weed when the shop told me the exact same thing you did, they said that instead of using my coils and stuff, they could do a body lift for a grand haha! you could get a 6" suspension lift for that price
