Default Really Nice 4.7L burnout.(vid)

Found on youtube. This guy said this is how he gets it to burnout.
Quote:
"nuttin at all..to get it to spin take a pair of vice grips kink the rear flex hose running into your brake splitter should be on your rearend housing...true trac rearends"...

What are the risk of doing this..ruined brakes, no brakes, etc?

It wouldn't hurt the brakes at all. It would be limiting the amount of fluid pressure being sent to the rear brakes, making it easier to mash the brake and not slow the rear wheels. If you wanted to do this often, I would just put an adjustable proportioning valve on the brake lines. I would be concerned with possibly cutting the rubber flex line using vice grips.

If you get retarded and spin from say gravel to pavement then you could blow out the rear end. I mean, doing a burnout isn't the easiest on the drivetrain, but there are things that are much worse.

So could you just do this temporary, when you want to, and just put it back to normal when done. All you have to do is close up the line a little by squeezing the line in a little or what?

Yeah. I mean, I don't recommend it, but its doable. I wouldn't drive around like that, but if you just wanted to do a burnout for a vid then take it off, go for it. I would go the the auto store and get some of them ratchet clamps(they are like vise grips, yet have rounded ends so they don't pinch or cut, they just clamp). Either that, or put a rag or something so you don't risk cutting the line.

So basically all he did was disable the rear brakes and powerbrake it.. Would be easier to install a "roll-control" system like they use on most race cars

I don't do burnouts. I pay for my tires and I don't really get the point? Like, why? lol

Trendy...... You need a locker in the rear diff to give you posi-traction. Not worth it AT ALL if you just want it for burnouts... Talking about $600-$1k I believe, installed that is.

Ice........ you've NEVER laid one down, ever? I'd have to call your bluff if you say no. I dont have an exact reason why, lol, I dont ever do'em in my truck, from a standstill anyways. While turning Ill lay into'er pretty good every once in a while, lol.
