Weed, which OS are you using---XP or 7---it makes a difference. The drivers are on the disc you got for XP, but their really buried. It took me a while to figure it out too.

The one I got from radioshack runs fine on XP, Vista, and 7... I dont know exactly what cable it is though, gotta go check. Maybe easier/cheaper to go look for a different cable

I using a 32bit XP OS. My disc only has one folder and it is an exe file for the USB. But from what Ive read on the net, there seem to be a lot of issues with the cords off ebay for some reason

I got lucky when I got mine, I looked online for local retailers and there was a dealer about 15mins from me. It was a small shop that carries the programmers and cables and are certified by DS to write custom programs. Maybe look online for someone locally that could give you some support. I can feel your pain I was pissed by the time I got mine on the truck, should work right out of the box for that kind of money.
