I hate the noise when towing. I am pretty close to swapping for a stock muff and cutout.

I hate the noise of CAI as well. Its too loud. I just want to hear my tires, and nothing else.

I would go with a Diablo, because if you are planning on a cam you can keep that tuner and get custom tuning. If you aren't planing on a cam then I would recommend SC because you can adjust the shift points which would be good ( at least for me ) when towing.

Cam would be nice, but that should come way down the road. I'd make sure I had receiver that was frame mounted and have me a weight distributing hitch and a set of bags before anything else. Safety while hauling/towing FIRST.
Then concentrate on some performance mods like gears...

i'm not sure if you could even pull the weight like that without ripping the bumper clean off or bending the living crap out of it. def. a frame mounted hitch to pull up to 8k

That's what I'm thinking too. They are classified as bumper pull not 5th wheel.

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was the trailer was a bumper pull(as opposed to a fifth wheel or goose neck) of course I have a class 4 frame mount hitch with weight distributing sway bars
