Default work horse under construction

My 08 ram qcsb is really more of a a work horse than a play thing (though I treat it as both). I quite often haul 1000lbs in the box and tow upwards of 8000lbs in the way of a toy hauler travel trailer(bumper pull). So I need some suggestions on mods that will work for the towing/hauling that I do. Obviously cai and exhaust, but is there a cam suitable for this application? Ect. Opinions?

I'm assuming Hemi? You could get a nice torque cam, probably a custom grind though. If I were you I'd get ahold of Marty at KRC Performance to talk about a cam grind for ya.

Being from Alberta I'd say talk to national 4wd in calgary about gears. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find they'll likely be well under 1000 bucks.

Airbags for the back to level the load out, maybe a SC/Diablo programmer.

id go with a s/c tuner 3865...and it wouldn't hurt to have a intake and exhaust to compliment it....and i def think about a frame mounted hitch for towing that weight...

IMO, My Silverado 2500, 410 gears, Gibson side swept, Volant CAI and Hypertech tuner were sweet, but when towing hills I hated the CAI drone.

If you tow a lot maybe a CAI will drive you crazy ? Something to think about.
