At a cost. They aren't meant to run 200+hp that the programmers can feed them. Stuff breaks. $$$$$

Underdrive pulley's are not worth it IMO. They slow evrything down to accomodate a few HP. Not to mention if it isn't a quality piece, your bearings will suffer. The Harmonic balancer is a damping tool that is precisely built to relieve vibrational rotation in the engine to prolong life for the bearings. A cheap pulley would allow the bearings to absorb the vibration which will in turn cause early wear. U/D pulleys generally don't charge enough at idle. I know that was a common issue with the 5.0 stangs.

Also, AF, why would you buy a used e-fan and not a used waterpump? You would rely on both of them to keep your engine cool. No way I would ever put a 15yr old 100kmi+ e-fan on my truck outta junk yard!!!

BTW..I still have that NIB Taurus fan I figured I'd hold onto it until springtime and then guys would be all over it!

if an e-fan stops working you can still keep the motor cool if you're on the highway... if the waterpump dies you are SOL.
i would (actually i did) buy a used e-fan. havent installed it yet, but the price they want for them new really cuts into the gas savings...

besides 'dog, didnt your fan have a big piece of plastic busted off of it? piece of junk.. haha. j/k. that guy on the for sale section was a ***.

Plus, you can buy the used e-fan off a Taurus for around $20 and if you are really worried about reliability you can get a new motor for it for $60 and basically have a new fan.
