Check Engine Light
I just had my check engine light come on at 70k+ miles. Since I am out of warranty where can I find what is the issue so I can fix it myself, preferably? Can my superchips tuner tell what the error is for? I know if I take it to þhe dealership they will charge an arm & leg just to tell me. Anyone.
yea the superchips has an option where you can scan for the check engine codes. Then google the codes or come back and post them here and you'll be able to figure out what to do. Good luck!
I found the codes:
P0406 - EGR position sensor circuit high
B2305 - wiper park switch input circuit high.
Can these be ignored or do they need to be taken care of immediately? The biggest reason being is that my truck is no longer my daily driver and I only drove it to see how the roads were between my house and work. Tomorrow I will drive my ting car.

I got an EGR related code this past summer and I reset it and it came right back a week later along with a noticeable stammer in the way the truck was running just before the light came on. So I put on a new EGR valve and it's been fine since. I'm not familiar with the wiper code but I doubt that one is gonna leave you on the side of the road. Clear the codes and see if they come back. Seems like 70k give a take a few thousand miles, may be about EGR valve failure time. So, you may have to replace it. But you can see if the code comes back first.

hmm, not sure about the wipers? I guess its maybe possible the motor is going out?
The EGR is probably shot. You can still drive like it is but, your exhaust system will be happier with a new EGR. It probably looks like the one in these pictures https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...rk-w-pics.html
All the black carbon gunk is probably all built up in the EGR.
